Communication and navigation equipments contain the avionics that assist a plane to become connected in real time, and locate the position, direction and flight path of the plane precisely during flight. This involves radio communication systems such as VHF, HF, and satellite communication (SATCOM) and also navigation systems such as GPS, inertial navigation systems (INS), and ground based aids such as VOR and TACAN. These systems are required to provide the proper coordination by constant communication of pilots, air traffic control, and ground networks and safe flight management.
